There will be on onsite bookseller for purchase of the book and Ahona will be available for signing and questions.Please note: This event has a 6.15pm arrival time for a 6.30pm event start time. This is an Auslan (sign language) and wheelchair accessible event. Her first book, Reclaim: understanding complex trauma and those who abuse was published in 2023, and her second, Life Skills for a Broken World was published in 2024. She writes widely for the media on matters related to mental health, health, social justice, and equity. Her work has appeared in The Age, The Guardian, The Saturday Paper, Breathe Magazine, SBS, and ABC. You can find out more about her work at www.ahonaguha.com.About the InterviewerJulie Fitness is a Professor Emeritus in the School of Psychological Sciences at Macquarie University. She joined the School in 1991 as a social-evolutionary psychologist specializing in people’s experiences of love, hate, anger, and jealousy, in marriage. Over the course of her academic career Julie has continued to study the features and functions of these and other emotions (including hurt) in close relationships and the workplace, and she has published extensively on the causes and consequences of betrayal, rejection, punishment, and forgiveness, within marital and family relationships.
